More on Twitter
Wired has another great article today on the ever expanding universe of Twitter and how its rapidly outgrowing its roots. Pretty interesting little look at how the simple concept of text based spurts of thought has grown into a realm of communication, notification and connectivity unlike anything originally foreseen.
Its no big secret, I’ve recently become quite the Twitter junkie around the office here (Twitter.com/Sevnthsin). But I somtimes wonder where else this could lead. We’re doing some interesting things with it in a few projects we’ve got going on around here, but where else will it lead? I always love to see the progression of technology, as a kid, going from records to tapes to CD’s to mini-disk, then back to CD’s and on to MP3 and digital downloads. So where will Twitter go, or is Twitter just another piece in evolution of communication? When will Twitter become ‘old news?’ Maybe I’m killing it right now by blogging about it? Either way, I’m excited to watch it happen.
